However, if Christmas decorations are what one seeks the search can become challanging, other than trying to relay on Taobao.

A main place can be Ikea in Jinyu, which every year presents a new Christmas collection: trees, ornaments in different colours and materials, seasonal candles and gift packaging can be found. Another option is Walmart, offering a smaller but usually cheaper selection, with trees (some coming already with ornaments), stickers for windows and stockings.

A less known option is ToyRus, which offers mostly stockings, ornaments and stickers.

Our favourites are the paper star-shaped white and gold tree ornaments from Ikea. The small Walmart tree that comes with Christmas cards and the ToyRus Advent calendar stocking.

Once you got what you need, make your tree. It can be done in many colours or just two ( usually red and gold or blue and silver); for better balance and visual experience the biggest ornaments should go at the bottom. One big ornament, a star or an angel, goes at the very top.

Then it is time to get creative with lights, cards, candles, gift boxes and other decorations to make your own Christmas atmosphere. Christmas songs while doing so are reccomended to better feel what Christmas is all about: a time for smiles, happiness and kindness.
