Liu Qi, the Director of Chongqing Tourism Bureau Met With Mr. Komatsu, the Japanese Consul General in Chongqing and His Delegation

On the afternoon of October 12, Liu Qi met with Mr. Komatsu, the Japanese consul general, and his delegation in Chongqing. Both parties participated in discussions on further expanding two-way tourism exchanges, expanding the target market, and improving the quality of tourism services. The relevant departments of the municipal tourism bureau also attended the meeting.

Mr Komatsu gave high praise to Chongqing tourism, saying that Chongqing has rich tourism resources, which are attractive to the Japanese tourists. Chongqing and Japan both have strong hot spring tourism cultures, and he hoped to complete more tourism exchanges and cooperation to promote mutual understanding of the two countries in the future, and he invited the Chongqing delegation to visit Japan to propagate the tourism resources of Chongqing.

Liu Qi expressed a sincere welcome to Mr. Komatsu and his delegation, and introduced them to the development of tourism in Chongqing. He said that Japanese tourism is very characteristic, and its shopping environment and tourism experience, such as the Japanese speciality hot spring house, is worth studying by Chongqing tourism. With the opening of many direct flights from Chongqing to Osaka, Tokyo, and other destinations, the two cities now have closer tourism exchanges, and he hopes to deepen the exchange and cooperation of tourism and be mutually beneficial. He stated that the Chongqing tourism market actively strengthens cooperation and exchange with foreign countries. He also hoped to have joint development and communication, working towards a complementary agreement, and the convergence of tourist resources, from both sides, to promote a mutual understanding of the tourism industry and of tourists, as well as to promote the inbound tourism market.
