"Chinese Style" Appearing in the 46th "Burgas International Folk Festival" in Bulgaria

On August 24th, a group of 30 people from the Chongqing National Song & Dance Ensemble were invited to the 46th "Burgas International Folk Festival" in Bulgaria, and gave a wonderful performance to the Burgas citizens and tourists from all over the world.

The “Burgas International Folk Festival” has a history of 53 years old and is one of the oldest and most influential international art festivals in Europe. This year, it has attracted 11 countries from Bulgaria, China, Serbia, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Slovenia, Georgia and Macedonia for the art event.

In the street makeup parade on August 24th, the five-star red flag were everywhere, which were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic applause and cheers along the street. The local people used the Chinese expression of "ni hao!" "ni hao!" to show their love of the Chongqing National Song & Dance Ensemble, which has brought a cheerful and characteristic "Chinese style" to Burgas people.

Apart from showing the unique folk culture of the Tujia and Miao nationalities through forms of ethnic songs and dances, the Chongqing National Song & Dance Ensemble also brought well-made handicrafts such as Xilan Kapu (a kind of brocade) and Miao silver ornaments and tourism materials of Qianjiang County, Chongqing Municipality, to promote its folk culture and tourism resources at the International Folk Festival.

In the closing ceremony, the Chongqing National Song & Dance Ensemble has shown cheerful and lively folk music as well as colorful ethnic costumes, which not only enchanted the audience, but also won the respect and friendship of artists from all over the world.
